About our shirt sizes
Our shirts are cut and sewn by hand from patterns with exact measurements - why a shirt can be a little off, and how to choose the right size.

Every shirt we make is cut by hand from a pattern with exact measurements, and sewn by hand in our own factory in Sanur. Our quality control measures the shirts before they are packed. Still, hand-made garments are never 100% the same: a small difference is normal, and a shirt can be a little bigger or smaller than the size table says.
Why a shirt can be a little off
- Cutting: the fabric is cut in stacks, and soft cotton moves a little under the knife.
- Sewing: each seam is sewn by hand, and a seam a few millimetres wider or narrower changes the size a little.
- Measuring: a soft shirt measured flat gives a slightly different number each time, depending on how it lies.
- Washing: our fabrics are preshrunk, but cotton can still shrink a little in a hot wash or a dryer. Wash cold and dry in the shade.
How we make our shirts
How to choose the right size
- Lay a shirt you like flat and measure it across the chest (armpit to armpit) and from the top of the shoulder to the bottom.
- Compare those numbers with the size table of the shirt you choose, not with the size letter: an M in one brand can be an L in another.
- Between two sizes? Take the bigger one.
- Ordering for a team? Order a sample first, or ask us on WhatsApp.
Need other measurements? We can make your own sizes: your own sizes.
