Questions
Does my phone need an app?
No - it works in Chrome, Edge and Safari on phones and computers. The video is made on your own device: nothing is uploaded.
Why does it take as long as the video?
Your browser plays the clips and records them as they play. Keep the page open and the screen on until it is done - if the page is hidden, the browser pauses it.
MP4 or WebM?
Chrome, Edge and Safari make an MP4, which every app takes. A few browsers (Firefox) can only make WebM - it plays on computers, but Instagram and iPhones prefer MP4, so use Chrome or Safari for those.
