Your fonts: convert them to outlines, or send us the font
We have over 80,000 fonts - but a commercial font, or one we do not have, we cannot print. Send us your design with the text converted to outlines, or send us the font.
We have over 80,000 fonts in our own library - search them here. When the words in your design use one of them, there is nothing more to do.
But many designs use a commercial font - a font you have to pay for to use it - or a font we do not have. Then your file opens on our computer with another font in its place, and your words would be printed wrong. So send us your design in one of these two ways:
1. Convert the text to outlines - the best way
Outlines turn every letter into a shape. The font is no longer needed: the design prints exactly as you see it, on any computer.
- Adobe Illustrator: select the text, then Type > Create Outlines (Shift+Ctrl+O, on a Mac Shift+Cmd+O)
- CorelDRAW: select the text, then Object > Convert to Curves (Ctrl+Q)
- Inkscape: select the text, then Path > Object to Path (Shift+Ctrl+C)
- Affinity Designer: select the text, then Layer > Convert to Curves
- Canva: download as PDF Print and tick Flatten PDF
Keep a copy of your design with the text as it was: text in outlines cannot be typed in any more. Then send us the file - AI, PDF, EPS or SVG.
2. Or send us the font
Send the font file (.ttf or .otf) together with your design - if your licence for the font lets you share it with your printer. We use it for your order only.
Good to know
- A picture of your design (PNG or JPG) needs no fonts at all - but make it big: at least the size of the print at 300 dpi (a 28 cm print is about 3300 pixels wide).
- Not sure which font your design uses? Send us the design on WhatsApp and we tell you if we have it.
- Making your design here? In our designer and on our font pages every font is one we have - nothing to convert.
