Question 1

How do I generate a MySQL CREATE TABLE statement?

Accepted Answer

Enter the table name, add your columns with a type for each, and the CREATE TABLE statement with primary key, AUTO_INCREMENT and indexes is written for you. Copy it or download it as a .sql file and import it in phpMyAdmin.

Question 2

Does my data leave the browser?

Accepted Answer

No. Everything is generated in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is sent to a server or stored in a database.

Question 3

Which column becomes the primary key?

Accepted Answer

A column named id becomes an int(11) AUTO_INCREMENT primary key. Tick key on any other column to add an index.

Question 4

Should I use prepared statements?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for any value that comes from a user. The prepared statements output gives mysqli code with bind_param, which protects against SQL injection.
